Pakistan: A Fun Filled Children's Festival to Raise Awareness [Program]

A collaboration between two NGOs and a publicity channel have resulted in a colourful, fun-filled two day 'Children Festival' for children in the Pakistani city of Karachi. The festival aims to motivate children to adopt healthy activities, promote cultural activities and create an awareness against drugs. The festival will include different sports activities, poems and stories reading completions, tableaus, folk dance and music, fashion show, paintings competition, musicfairs and mehndi art competitions. Various NGOs and other organizations will also put up stands to raise awareness regarding their work in the festival. The organizers hope to draw children and families to the event so that the message has a lasting impact on children.
