EDUCATION: A Fair Chance: Attaining Gender Equality in Basic Education by 2005 [report]

65 million girls are currently unfairly denied access to education. Yet giving all girls a fair chance to learn is practical, affordable and essential. And some of the poorest countries in the world have done it. Drawing lessons from their success, this study by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) outlines a realistic approach to achieving the UN Millennium Development Goal for attaining gender equality in education by 2005.
