SEXUAL EXPLOITATION IN TOURISM: New Online Resource [website]

Terre des hommes has been engaged in the fight against the sexual exploitation of
children in tourism for several years. They have recently added new content on their
website; the internet platform "Please disturb" - at www.child-hood.com - offers
concrete information about how travellers can get active in carrying children's
rights through, and reducing the number of sexually abused children worldwide.

The new section "States" offers best practice examples of initiatives taken by
governments and organisations worldwide that actively - and successfully - fight
against the sexual exploitation of children in tourism. These examples offer ideas
and inspiration for new initiatives and activities in other countries, and help to
build and/or strengthen networks between child rights organisations around the
world. In addition, the section "Organisations" now includes local contact details
of organisations that are involved in the implementation of children's rights. [Source:CRIN]
